Families in Cultural Transitions (FICT) Project Officers - 2 Positions Available.

Position 1 is part time, 24 hours per week, with a 24 month contract - Position No. COMT 10-02
Position 2 is part time, 24 hours per week, with a 12 month contract - Position No. COMT 10-03

Getting a job at STARTTS

Recruitment for STARTTS is conducted through the STARTTS HR Officer. Positions will be advertised primarily on this website, in the SMH or local papers and circulated through networks.

The recruitment process includes:

  • A job description listing the essential and desirable criteria for the position. Please make sure you download the job description of the position for which you wish to apply.

  • Applicants must complete the  1) STARTTS Application for Employment form, 2) write a statement outlining how they meet each selection criteria, and submit these together with a 3) current Curriculum Vitae (resume).
  • A selection panel of at least three people will assess all the job applications against the essential and desirable criteria, and will cull the applications.
  • The same panel as above will interview the candidates who best meet the criteria. The panel members will ask the same questions of all the job applicants chosen for interview.
  • Referee checks will be conducted with at least two recent work referees for those applicants being considered for appointment.

  • a current Curriculum Vitae (resume)
  • a cover letter is optional

  • Original or certified copies of relevant qualifications.  If your qualifications are from overseas please bring translations of your qualifications and a statement of Australian equivalence for your qualification, or letter of recognition or result of testing from a recognised assessing, registering and/or licensing body
  • Completed Working with Children Background Check or Criminal Record Check consent form
  • Proof of Identity Form plus original identity documentation
  • Prohibited Employment Declaration Form

Certificates of Service or equivalent documentation will be required for successful applicants to be placed on the correct salary level.
