Seminars
As a part of STARTTS’ commitment to promoting excellence in clinical practice in working with refugees we invite international and national speakers recognised as experts in their field to address topics relevant to the treatment and rehabilitation of torture and trauma survivors. The aim of the seminar program, which started in 2006, is to provide an opportunity for clinicians working with refugees to extend their understanding of issues of refugee trauma.
Our aim is to continue to attract renowned national and international speakers to come and share their knowledge and experience with us. As a result the exact dates of the Seminar Program are subject to change and will be announced when they are finalised. Nevertheless, we are planning to hold at least 2 seminars in 2010. The topics will focus on work with torture and trauma survivors from refugee-like backgrounds.
