Workshop outline This one-day workshop is designed to provide workers with an understanding of what refugees have been through, the impact of these traumatic experiences and the recovery process from trauma. This workshop does not cover specific clinical strategies as these are covered in the 2-day clinical workshop.

• The refugee experience • Impact of torture and trauma • Helping survivors of torture and trauma recover • The impact on you as a worker • STARTTS services
This workshop is relevant to those interested in the issues faced by refugees and survivors of torture and trauma, and for those wishing to do other specialist workshops offered at STARTTS.
Cost: $150:00 per participant (GST inclusive)
Pre-requisite: None
Times: All workshops run from 9:30am to 4:30pm. Registration is from 9:00am. Please ensure that you arrive before 9:30am as all workshops start on time.
