In 2011 STARTTS hosted its first Community Development Seminar with Dr Ernesto Sirolli called ‘Passion, Entrepreneurship and Social Inclusion’, and in 2012 we were proud to host Professor Jim Ife who spoke on ‘Community Development in the Age of Efficiency’. Every year STARTTS will aim to invite a speaker recognised as an expert in their field to conduct a community development seminar on topics related to delivering community services to communities who have been through traumatic experiences, or have been marginalised in some way.
