Mary Anne Kenny
Mary Anne Kenny is an Associate Professor in the Discipline of Law within the College of Arts, Business, Law and Social Science, Murdoch University, Western Australia. Her teaching in law is influenced by her experience and practice in human rights and social justice. She has taught in the areas of migration law, refugee law, human rights and clinical legal education in the School of Law. Associate Professor Kenny’s research interests are refugees, immigration, human rights and law reform. In particular she has been researching issues in relation to the mental health of refugees and asylum seekers as they navigate the refugee status determination process. She has been a legal practitioner for over 25 years, and regularly provides pro bono advice and assistance to refugees and asylum seekers.
