Make a request
Making a training request for your workplace is easy. Just download the request form, fill it out electronically, save it and email it to the training email. Please do not send a scanned copy. STARTTS receives a lot of requests and we get booked up quickly, so requests for training need to make at least 6 weeks in advance.

Costs – General workshops, presentations and case study discussions
STARTTS presents on a wide range of topics related to working with people from refugee backgrounds, including asylum seekers of all ages and cultural backgrounds to organisations in NSW. Workshops, presentations and case studies are adapted to the needs of the requesting organisation and are delivered by an experienced STARTTS staff member. Trainings are delivered free to health and health related organisations according to our contractual arrangements with the federal health department. There is a small fee for most other organisations. Prices include GST.

Costs – Specialised workshops
STARTTS also provides specialised one and two-day trainings on cultural competence and treating post traumatic stress symptoms, grief, anxiety, depression and other co-morbid presentations associated with the refugee experience and resettlement. The prices for the workshops listed below include GST.
